Authorized by MS Code Ann. §37-61-33(2), the EEF Buildings and Buses Program is designed to provide funding to school districts for various school building and related facility projects and transportation vehicles. The annual amount of $16,000,000 is distributed to all districts in proportion to the average daily attendance of each school district to the average daily attendance of all school districts within the state. The amount is paid monthly to districts over a 12-month fiscal year, but the actual funding is subject to state sales tax revenue collections.
