The Office of Curriculum and Instruction (OCI) leads efforts in developing, supporting, and continually enhancing effective teaching and learning, working closely with educational stakeholders. Its primary focus areas include implementing high-quality instructional materials, aligning curricula with the Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards, enhancing educator skills through targeted professional development, and encouraging instructional practices that guarantee all students have access to rigorous learning. Ultimately, OCI’s goal is to ensure every school provides high-quality instruction that fosters the success of all students.

The Professional Development (PD) Request Form for the Office of Curriculum and Instruction serves as the initial step for schools and districts seeking in-person or virtual support for teachers, support staff, and administrators across the state. The PD Request Form offers streamlined coordination across the multiple divisions in our office. Schools and districts must complete this form to ensure that the OCI team is able to tailor support to meet specific instructional needs and enhance educational outcomes across content areas.
