- The Mentor Guidebook: Supporting New Special Education Teachers in Mississippi - Developed by the CEEDAR Center at the University of Florida, “The Mentor Guidebook: Supporting New Special Education Teachers in Mississippi” is an example of how a guidebook can be developed for the purpose of establishing and maintaining an effective mentoring and induction program. While created specifically for special education teachers, the concepts included can be customized to meet the needs of any district for their new teachers. Many of the mentoring and induction resources developed by MDE in partnership with the CEEDAR Center are based on various section of this guidebook.
