Mississippi Math, Science Teachers Earn National Recognition as State-Level Finalists

JACKSON, Miss. – Four Mississippi teachers have been named state-level finalists for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) for the 2019-2020 award cycle. The PAEMST Program is the nation’s highest honor for teachers of mathematics and science (including computer science).

MDE Invites Aspiring Educators to Apply to the Mississippi Teacher Residency

JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) invites aspiring teachers to apply to the third cohort of the Mississippi Teacher Residency (MTR), which is a two-year program that combines college coursework and on-the-job training to prepare prospective educators for the teaching profession. The application will be released on December 18, 2020 and will close on February 5, 2021.
