The mission of the Office of Accounting is to provide fiscal support to school districts and to the program offices at the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) with accurate and timely financial services while ensuring compliance with all related statutes, state and federal regulations, and the MDE Board policies.
In addition, the office ensures that the State’s assets are properly safeguarded and accounted for at the MDE. The Mail Room and Print Shop provide mail and delivery services as well as printing and binding services.
